Safe Spot Skate Spot Phoenix Arizona Grand Opening

On July 13th, the grand opening of the new Safe Spot Skate Spot in Phoenix was held at Cesar Chavez Park. This new park was designed by California Skateparks’ chief designer and Tempe resident Colby Carter, and built by California Skateparks. The park features a wide variety of street elements laid out to cater to an endless number of lines. The park was made possible by donations from California Skateparks in the form of Street League 2010 course components and an additional donation from the Rob Dyrdek Foundation. Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon presided over the opening celebration and Rob Dyrdek performed the ribbon-cutting. Here are some photos from the opening day festivities:
