New park in Arad, Israel

California Skateparks has teamed up with Wormhout Inc in the construction of a new skatepark in Arad, Israel. This new park is expected to be a 7,000 square feet street plaza designed by Wormhout. We have been building this park with all local labor in Israel and the progress is moving along better than we expected! The park should be complete for skating in around 2-3 weeks and CA Skate is excited to be building our first of many parks overseas in Israel.

California Skateparks is working hard alongside Castle Construction as the specialty sub-contractor for the new skatepark about to open in Glasgow, Delaware.  The bowls and street plaza features are just about done! Check back for the grand opening date and completion photos!

 

 



California Skateparks has just been awarded the job of building the monumental skatepark in Kennesaw, Georgia. This skatepark has an anticipated start date for the summer 2012. The  40,000 square foot skatepark will be built at Swift-Cantrell Park and is racking in a budget of nearly $1.2 million! The mayor of Kennesaw, Mark Matthews has said, ” It will draw from across the region…there is nothing like this anywhere in the Southeast.”

Site Design Group has been awarded the job of designing this huge skatepark and they have already presented designs  exceeding the expectations of the community. The Rob Dyrdek Foundation is the major contribution bringing this opportunity to life for the city of Kennesaw. They have assumed the role of  raising the money for the gap in funds and the Foundation’s enthusiasm to make this skatepark the best in the world has captured the attention of the whole community. Dyrdek is hoping this park might be an option for Street League Skateboardings first ever permenant skate plaza facility. The park will be built with the option to one day host events seen on ESPN. Mayor Matthews said, “…this is to be the Pebble Beach of skateboarding.”



OPEN | Far Rockaway Skatepark, NY

Far Rockaway Skatepark in Rockaway, New York is officially open!

This skatepark is approximately 15,700 square feet. California Skateparks is excited to bring their 8th skatepark to state of New York. Site Design Group is the designer and CA Skateparks are the skatepark builders. Site Design Group says, “The design strikes a balance between both street and transition styles.” It features a plaza section complete with a variety of grind ledges, a set of stairs with handrail and hubba ledges, and a solid hipped bank. In addition to the plaza section, the park also features an entire transition area that includes various bowled corners, rolled edges, and a volcano.  This all-inclusive park is sure to have something for everyone!



King’s Mill Skatepark, Westminster Colorado

California Skateparks is going to be bringing a skatepark to King’s Mill Park in Westminster, Colorado. This street plaza with floating tranny is due to be completed and skateable by the end of February 2012 or sooner. This skate spot is smaller in size, but bigger is not always better! King’s Mill Park will have elements for every kind of skateboarder. Although the 4,000 square foot skatepark is  still in the design stages, here is a sneak peek of what we’re thinking.
