The Rob Dyrdek Foundation and Street League Skateboarding donated to aid the city in the construction of this project designed and built by California Skateparks. The Dust Devil skate plaza boasts 9,000 square feet of meticulously designed, skateable terrain that incorporates the benches and features from the  first ever Street League Finals in 2010 at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The addition of these features into the skatepark design gave this new skatepark a niche not too many other parks have. Street League Professionals have skated these features and now the skaters in the Phoenix community get their own shot at skating these one-of-a kind elements.
