California Skateparks, the worldwide leader in skate park construction has completed the build out of the Hudson River Park Tribeca Skate Park at North Moore Street in New York City. The unique design incorporates 8,750 sq. ft. of diverse combination of terrain including stairs, ledges and rails that resemble an actual street plaza. Stone veneer and granite pavers were used in the fine details of the design and offer the park a true “street feel”. The plaza was designed and constructed using new methodologies and techniques and ingenuously integrated into the overall foot print of the park. The master design was created by international planning firm SITE Design Group.
The skate park grand opening will be this Thursday, November 4th and will be part of the daylong celebration for the Hudson River Park’s newly renovated Pier 25. The construction of the New York park and public esplande will include a habitat planting zone, lawns, seating areas, a dog run, overlooks, basketball courts, public art, and other active and passive recreation opportunities.
