Skatepark Project Description

On June 21st, 2009 Go Skateboarding Day 2009—P-Rod along with Nike, the LA84 Foundation, and the LA Parks and Recreation, opened a brand new park. This plaza features recreated spots from older skate spots that are no longer skate-able. There's a Griffith Park imitation, a Sylmar rail revival, and granite ledges for days. Co-designed by Lance Mountain, this plaza was designed for skaters! It opened at the Ritchie Valens Recreation Center with Paul Rodriguez Sr.
